LDC opened its doors in the fall of 1979. We were located in a small store in hilltop south shopping center, right next to Kmart. We had a 1956 school bus which was converted into a camper to take our students to the Florida springs to get certified. We also dove all the local lakes and explored our shoreline and the bay bridge islands! Fun and real diving situations were our guiding principles. Our motto "Lynnhaven Dive Center where Diving is Fun” was a result of these real life diving adventures.
