Get up close and personal with Virginia Beach’s most beloved residents at the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. From the sea turtles in the Light Tower exhibit to the sharks swimming in our Norfolk Canyon aquarium, you’ll be able to make your Virginia Beach visit come alive. With thousands of animals representing hundreds of species, there is something for everyone to see and enjoy. See eye to eye with Komodo dragons, go below the water with endangered Malaysian crocodiles, and interact with playful harbor seals. Featuring hands-on exhibits, live animal habitats, and a beautiful one third of a mile nature trail, there are hundreds of ways to learn and play. Want to see more? Take a Virginia Aquarium boat tour and see dolphins, pelicans, and other native wildlife. Or help work a trawl net to collect fish and invertebrates during an Ocean Collections trip.
