One of the largest collections of flying World War II airplanes is located in the southern portion of Virginia Beach at the Virginia Beach Airport. Aircraft from the times of the First and Second World Wars through the Korean War era are on display and occasionally flown from this unique airport. Go back in time and view American, British and German airplanes that flew during the war years. Wander around such aircraft as the Mustang, Corsair, Spitfire, and many more (www.FighterFactory.com). They are often pulled outside the art deco hangar museum and taken up for a spin by many of the local volunteer pilots.
