North Carolina White BBQ

The most popular Bar-B-Que we serve in Virginia Beach is called North Carolina white barbecue. The reason we call it “white” is because we don’t add any barbecue sauce to our pork. North Carolina white barbecue is pit cooked pork that is either minced or”pulled” (shredded)with only a little vinegar and crushed red pepper added for flavor. Around here, we put our barbecue sauce on our own sandwiches. Other places like Texas put globs of sauce on their meats and let them sit around getting mushy. One bite of our barbecue will make a believer out of anyone.

But alas! Have no fear. We also serve traditional barbeque. You normally don’t even have to use an internet search to find our barbeque locations. If you are walking anywhere inland of 10th street or 17th street you will typically be able to smell the smokey BBQ seasoning in the air! And let’s not get started on the BBQ you can smell on the boardwalk during a festival! Turkey legs, racks of ribs, pulled pork sandwiches and sliders are everywhere. If there isn’t a festival going on, you might have to travel a few block to have some real down-home, stick-to-your-ribs barbeque, but hey… you came a long way to get to Virginia Beach. What is just a few more blocks? Trust us, it will be worth the extra effort!
