The beach portion of Virginia Beach is fairly consistent from the North End to the South End.  Although some beach sections get a little more action that the rest when it comes to events.  This is one of those sections.  This stretch of beach starts at the 1st Street Jetty.  It hosts the most popular event of the Summer, the American Music Festival which is held at a stage that is erected each year called the 5th Street Stage (it’s built right on the beach!).  This section of the beach also host volleyball tournaments on the permanent nets that are constructed near 8th street.
