Atlantic Ocean. Miles and miles of beachfront

Virginia Beach is more than just an oceanfront town. It’s a city that has so much to offer, from great restaurants and bars to museums and entertainment for the whole family. So, get your pen and paper ready, and add these to your to-do list when in the area. Here are some of the top places where tourists can enjoy a good time in Virginia Beach:

Virginia Beach Boardwalk

The Virginia Beach Boardwalk is a great place to enjoy an afternoon stroll. Start your visit to Virginia Beach by strolling along the Oceanfront boardwalk, which stretches for three miles and is home to more than 200 shops and restaurants.

When you want great photos, pose for shots beneath the iconic King Neptune statue as you breathe in that fresh sea air. This long stretch of sand is also a great place to take breaks at a charming outdoor restaurant! They offer free Wi-Fi, delicious food, and delicious coffee, so you can use the most popular casino life hack ever – sit in a restaurant and play casino games. You can enjoy playing casino games at one of the sites casino rewards Canada offers while dining on a tasty meal. Once you’ve settled in nicely, you’ll be comfortable enough to check out these real money casino sites and their offers. Many of these places feature live music during the summer, so you can even go dancing if you don’t feel like resting your feet.

And if you crave the thrill of gambling in person, you don’t have to drive long hours to the nearest casino. Consider a more convenient option, for example, live casinos where you can get an authentic casino experience while exploring Virginia Beach on foot.

Virginia Living Museum

Virginia Living Museum is a great place to visit. It features reptiles, mammals, birds, and fish from more than 250 species found in Virginia. And why is it popular with animal lovers? The sanctuary provides a safe haven for animals who are orphaned or unable to be rehabilitated due to injury. It’s also a great place for kids and families!

When strolling down the Dinosaur Discovery Trail, tourists can learn a lot from an interactive planetarium show.  Student tours, group planetarium shows, and custom tours are also available at this facility! There are plenty of temporary indoor exhibits too!

Ocean Breeze Waterpark

This waterpark is a family-friendly destination with over 30 slides and a lot of attractions. If you are up for fun at a million-gallon wave pool, a four-slide monster complex called Neptune’s Revenge, or a pirate-themed water playground, this is a place to visit in Virginia Beach.

There are many more things to do at Ocean Breeze Waterpark:

  • Ride the lazy rivers or tidal pools
  • Take your pick from one of several exciting rides
  • Relax in the tropical gardens
  • Enjoy some shade under an umbrella

The park also offers free parking, sunscreen, and inner tubes – or at least that is what they say on Tripadvisor.

Lynnhaven House

You can also visit Lynnhaven House in Virginia Beach, which is one of the more unusual things to do there. Despite being founded by the Thelaball family, it has also been referred to as the Wishart House or the Boush House. The house was built in 1725 and is an excellent example of Virginia vernacular architecture.

Instead of a wealthy plantation owner, tourists can get a glimpse at life as a middle-class planter–and what better way to experience this than by taking a guided tour of their household? During these tours, you’ll learn how daily life was back in the 18th century, from cooking over an open fire pit to sleeping on wooden beds with straw mattresses filled with corn shucks instead of mattress pads!

Harrison Opera House

The Harrison Opera House is located in Norfolk, Virginia. Originally a World War II USO theater, this place was renovated and restored in 1993. It now has over 1,600 seats but the intimate atmosphere has been preserved. If you are all about that glitz and glam, you might want to know that the opera house is decorated with glittering chandeliers and sweeping staircases leading to boxes where champagne can be sipped during performances.

The opera house is near plenty of brightly lit parking lots that charge $5 for cars or motorcycles. A refreshment stand and bar provide refreshments before and during performances. The tip of the day: if you can get one of the boxes overlooking the stage, do it!

Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art

The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art is one of the most popular destinations for art lovers in Virginia Beach. The museum never disappoints with its rotating exhibits and changing displays, which include sculptures, paintings, and photographs.

A variety of galleries are available to appeal to a wide range of visitors, with displays ranging from films to ceramics. You can reserve tickets online or purchase them at the door when you arrive at your selected date and time. However, you should know that prices may differ depending on how far in advance you purchase your tickets. The spaces are adapted to and reinvented with each exhibition: so you can expect soulful works from some of today’s most rigorous artists!

Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center

Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center is a great place to visit. It’s home to sharks, seals, and the toothy Tomistoma crocodile. If you join one of the boat tours you can see dolphins and whales or feel silky rays in their touch pool. Those who feel extra adventurous can finish their day with an exhilarating zipline through the trees at their Adventure Park. The center offers featured events throughout the year as well as daily activities, so make sure you check out their schedule on their website before heading down there!

Busch Gardens Amusement Park

Busch Gardens is an amusement park located in Virginia Beach, VA. It has a lot of rides and attractions, including the Griffon, one of Virginia’s most epic rollercoasters. You can bet you’ll experience all sorts of twists and turns on a journey you won’t soon forget.

This amusement park in Williamsburg boasts an astonishing selection of heart-pumping rides for those who love gambling and risks, including loop-the-loops as well as lofty log flumes. If you’re bringing kids and want a hazard free option, don’t miss the spinning teacups and antique carousel! They also have ALL NEW DarKoaster™ (a roller coaster with two sides), food & wine festivals + more fun things to do!

Conclusion

Virginia Beach is home to a lot of great things for tourists to enjoy. The city has a variety of attractions and activities that will keep you entertained all day long!
