If you are ready for live music then just head on down to the boardwalk for fantastic venues offering a wide variety of entertainment through Beach Street USA. There’s always something happening at Neptune Park on 31st Street. Start your evening off right by seeing performances by local bands. Local bands can be seen on many of the stages both on the boardwalk and on the sand. At the 24th Street Stage, A favorite each year with everyone is Sandstock—A Tribute to Rock & Roll held June 20–22 and the Stars & Stripes Explosion on July 4 occurring at three stages along the oceanfront. One event that draws gigantic crowds each year is the American Music Festival held Aug. 29–31 at 5th Street Stage, 17th Street Park, 24th Street Park and 31st Street Park. The festival brings the sounds of rock, jazz, country, R&B and more to the Oceanfront for one of the largest outdoor music events on the East Coast featuring national, regional and local acts. With not-to-miss music performances almost every night of the week, there’s enough outdoor entertainment to keep you busy for the whole summer. A new stage is coming soon to 34th Street! The 12-foot high, circular stage will feature small acts which will provide entertainment to two restaurants along the boardwalk—Lager Heads (Opened 2014) and the existing Tortugas Café & Tiki Bar. The new stage will be slightly smaller than the 7th Street stage but will provide a similar atmosphere. Expect to hear all types of great live music with the boardwalk and beach as your backdrop. Music is better at the beach!
