Virginia Beach is Bicycling Heaven!
Bicycling is one of the most popular outdoor activities for the locals and tourists in Virginia Beach. You can’t go anywhere in Virginia Beach without seeing tons of people biking the boardwalk, biking through the neighborhoods, biking on the beach (for those with beach tires) , and those just cruising along the resort city. If you didn’t bring a bicycle on your trip don’t fear as their are bike rentals located all along the boardwalk and at one of the beach bike stores like North End Bikes located near the new 31st Corridor.

During big events during the year you can see more bikes than you have ever seen at the same time. Because Virginia Beach is a bicycling town, all you have to do is add a big beach event such as the American Music Festival in August where the sounds of rock, jazz, country, R&B, and more to flood the Virginia Beach oceanfront for three sun-filled days over. Sometimes it gets so crowded with bicycles that it can even become difficult to even find a place to lock your bikes along the boardwalk! Forget trying to park your car. Biking to events is the way to go!
