Visit Hunt Club Farm
Dates: April 1 thru New Year’s Eve
The Hunt Club Farm dates back all the way to the 1700’s. It is a part of the Virginia Beach Historical Register and the farm is open to be toured. There are a variety of events around the year. There is a store and farmer’s market that features locally made products and a petting farm for the kids with goats, pigs, rabbits, sheep and more. This is a great way to spend a warm summer day. They also have many seasonal events and features like pumpkin patches (in the fall), strawberries (in the spring) and haunted hayrides (Halloween) just to name a few.
Virginia Beach MOCA Boardwalk Art Show
Dates: June 18th, June 19th, June 20th, June 21st
The Virginia Beach MOCA Boardwalk Art Show is happening on four different dates in June and is one of the best exhibits of art in the area. More than 250 artists show up each year to be part of the show. Proceeds from the art show go to help the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art and make it possible for everyone to see wonderful art exhibits.
Visit Nauticus

When you are in Virginia going to Nauticus is a wonderful family activity. The facility is a state of the art and interactive science and technology center. You can explore the history of the naval and economic world at sea. There are various exhibits that change at times and featured at the same location is tour of the Battleship Wisconsin.
Wake Up On The Beach With The Summer Solstice

This is just an interesting thing to do. The solstice is the longest day of the year and the official start of the summer. Visit Virginia Beach and enjoy the start of the summer by getting up early before the sun rises and getting out onthe beah to watch the sun come up over the Atlantic ocean. It’s a long day, so pace yourself. There are a variety of activities going on around Virginia Beach on the day of the solstice.
Watch the Sand Soccer Championships
Dates: June 5th – 7th
Watch the North American Sand Soccer Championships at Virginia Beach. It will be hard to miss this event as it sprawls down the beach with multiple soccer fields set up in the sand. This even attracts a large number of spectators so show up early to guarantee your seats.
