A local favorite… and it’s right around the corner! Literally!

For many years the Marina District at Rudee Inlet has been a popular place for locals and visitors alike in the resort city of Virginia Beach. There are so many fun activities and attractions that have their home at the Marina District. Since this area is not on the oceanfront, not many tourists even know about the location.  All you have to do it go south to the end of the boardwalk (towards 1st Street) and when you get to the end of the boardwalk, continue on the paved walkway under the Rudee Inlet overpass.  Once you are through the overpass, welcome to the Marina District!  The sight of yachts, fishing boats, paddle boarders and jet skiers should tell you that you are in the right place.  If you are lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of Captain Jack’s Pirate ship coming or going. Keep walking and you will see a whole section of Virginia Beach that you never new existed!

Adventure Sports: Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Jet Skiing, Parasailing, and Sportfishing are all here at Rudee Inlet

If you are the adventurous type the Marina District has you covered. Take to the skies on a parasail adventure or rent out some jet skis to cruise a long the Virginia Beach Oceanfront with your friends and family. The views of the beach and ocean you can get from jet skis and parasails are second to none! This area is filled with charter fishing boats, and boats for tours out on the ocean such as The Rudee Mariner and The Rudee Flipper, and for the fast and furious take a ride on The Rudee Rocket.

Wanna head out to sea for some sport-fishing? Then head on down to the Virginia Beach Fishing Center at Rudee Inlet to charter a fishing boat. These are the types of days that create lasting memories of your time on vacation to the beach.

The Marina District at Rudee Inlet  is known for having some of the best restaurants in Hampton Roads. Rockafeller’s is a favorite with both locals and tourists year after year.  In fact, the seafood restaurants in the Marina District are are some of the best restaurants on the entire East Coast. The reason for this is simple. Virginia Beach is a fishing community, so seafood is their specialty.
