Virginia Beach native Dave Johnson is a singer/ songwriter/ guitarist who released his debut album in 2010, produced and engineered in New York City by grammy-award winning Dan Grigsby- well known for his work with Bruce Springsteen, Keith Richards, and Joe Cocker. Dave's music has received airplay on local radio - FM99 WNOR and 96X WROX. His band has been interviewed on WVEC 13, and he has also been featured in a local artist review for the Virginian-Pilot. Dave has performed solo at the House of Blues, and with his band in New York City- including a stop at the legendary Bitter End. He stays busy when he’s not on the road in venues all over Hampton Roads, from every restaurant and nightclub on the Atlantic Avenue Strip to the national concert halls - Shaka's, The NorVa and The Granby Theater. He has opened for a diverse array of national recording artists ranging from King's X to Suicidal Tendencies. He's also warmed up the stage for David Bowie's guitarist Reeves Gabrels and most recently, Donavon Frankenreiter- who after watching Dave's set, asked him to join the band for the next night on their tour. Dave returns to NYC this year to wrap up his long awaited follow up album with Mr. Grigsby and Jody Dobson of the Institute of Audio Research at the helm.
