My husband and I travel to Virginia Beach every year. He has had some issues this past year, and for him to have ocean access, we need to get him to one of the wooden walkways that goes out into the sand. When do those go out?

The wooden walkways are permanent and do not get removed seasonally. Sometimes they get covered with sand and many times they do not reach all the way to the waterline, so ocean access may not be possible.
