Hi Ashley,
There really is no “closing time” or “closing date” for the Virginia Beach boardwalk. The Virginia Beach boardwalk is not like other boardwalks that you might see on the East coast. Our boardwalk is not lined with hundreds of small shops and stores. It is simply a 40-block long stretch of concrete and metal railing that is next to the beach and basically separates the major hotels and resaurants from the sand. You won’t see very many small souvenir shops or trinket shops. Therefore there really is no reason for the boardwalk to close down. It is open year-round and so that visitors and locals can walk, excercise sightsee and enjoy it. There may not be a bustle of activity on the boardwalk in the off-season but it is still very much in use and available to everyone!
We hope this answers your question. If you would like more information on the boardwalk, please see this Virginia Beach Boardwalk page.
