Yes, you are allowed to smoke cigarettes on the beach in Virginia Beach and boardwalk.

Please be mindful of other visitors in your vicinity and please make sure that all trash and cigarette butts make it into the nearest trash can.  You are not allowed to smoke in most hotels or restaurants unless specifically marked.

All other smoking and non-smoking areas should be marked appropriately.
