Unfortunately the oceanfront / resort area of Virginia Beach does not allow any type of grilling device to be used on the beach. No open flame grills, no electric hot plates…. nothing of any kind can be used on the beach.

However, the rules are a bit different at the beach at First Landing State Park near the campground area.  They actually have a campground with charcoal grills available.  For more specific details on their rules, you can call them at (757) 412-2300.
