Hi Karen,
That is an interesting question.
The general rule of thumb for most of the larger oceanfront hotels is to only accept a reservation from a person who is 21 years of age or older. These hotels are not starving for business and therefore they can afford to be picky. They are looking for “families” and older groups to rent their rooms. They are under the impression that goups of adults under the age of 21 are there to “party” and it might not be in their best interest to rent the rooms. That is unfortunate.
However we have compiled a list of hotels that claim to allow reservations for individuals under the age of 21.
HOTELS THAT ALLOW RESERVATIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS UNDER 21
Because every hotel is different, it would be in your best interest to call around and speak to the front desk of the hotel to make sure that there aren’t any other requirements or stipulations. You probably won’t get very far with the larger hotels but some of the smaller hotels or hotels that are not on the oceanfront that need to fill rooms might be willing to overlook some of their policies and allow you to stay there.
Be advised that many of them might ask for additional deposits up front for each person staying in the room.
Good luck and we hope you find a place to stay. If you do, please contact us back and let us know so that we can add them to this page!
We hope that helps and we hope you HAVE A GREAT DAY AT THE BEACH!
