Hi Suzanne,

No heaters or open flame of any kind are allowed on the Virginia Beach oceanfront.  You will be fined if you make a fire on the beach.

If you are staying farther south in Sandbridge at a beach rental, then they have a much larger beach and sometimes fires happen on the beach.  It sill isn’t permitted, but that beach is enormous and not frequently patrolled.

If you want to sit around an open flame at night, we recommend checking out the outdoor fire pit areas at Catch 31!
